Ok, so not State Street, but Government Center.

Neither one of us are huge seafood fans, we're both meat eaters, and we like well prepared food. I wouldn't call us food snobs, though.

There is a place called Houston's which I have never been but I heard was good, right near government center.

There is also a very inexpensive tex mex place in Fanueuil Hall which I like very much, although the food is not fancy.

There are a bunch of yummy sushi places too.

I think we stayed clear of Houston's last time because it looked suspiciously like a yuppie place...not so?

Sushi places are good, too. Any specifics?

I have never been there, even inside, so I don't know if it is yuppiesque. I have heard that the food is good though and I am all about the quality meat.

Something else.

I forget the name exactly...but I can describe exactly where it is.

It is in Fanueil Hall on the North side (if you are facing Quincy Market that is on your left) and it is about halfway down. You will see a sign sticking out of the building with a cactus on it.
