It's a Monday. But there was one good thing

Junie was doing SO well and then last night about 9:30 things tanked again. She vomited but it looked like mostly hairball so while I was disappointed, I wasn't too worried...yet. But then she went to the litterbox and unleashed a river from the other end. Aw hon. Though she does still want to eat and since I knew I needed to give her at least one of the meds, I fed her and then wrangled her again to try to get some of the liquid in her mouth to curb the diarrhea. I must have succeeded at getting a little in there since today seems a little better on that end.

I had an eye on the kitties on my camera while at work and unfortunately about 10:30am, she vomited again. Since I'd just finished up one project and hadn't started on another, I decided to leave work a little early to check on her. Again it seemed like more hair than tummy acid but clearly shouldn't be happening this much. I thought that the liquid stuff was difficult but the pill to help with vomiting was absolutely impossible. Even though I can pin her under an arm, that girl clenches her jaw tight as a vice after many tries and I thought one time I succeeded, nope. I then tried crushing another pill and hiding it in her favorite squishy treat but she caught on quick and stopped eating it. It's such a tiny pill that I'm hoping I got enough of it in her between both pills to help. Suffice it to say, I have an appointment with my vet for this coming Friday late morning and in the meantime, I'll keep trying what I can with the meds and every home remedy we can think of. I did call the vet and ask about whether they could get me the transdermal version of the anti-vomiting drug and they didn't realize that was a thing. It's available on Chewy but evidently that can take a while. I called around to different vets like they suggested and no one had it. I didn't get a call back from a nearby pharmacy that online claimed that they do compounding so I think tomorrow I'll see if I can get my vet to hook up with Chewy and get the script filled. Even if it will be a while, I'll likely need it on hand for her and putting a dab of meds on her ear is something she doesn't object to.

Anyway, she's eaten some so she's holding steady with that for now so I'll try not to freak out until I can wrangle her into my regular vet.

In better news, my toy that I got on TikTok of the nut milk maker arrived today. I tried doing oatmilk first and thought it was too watery and gross so I tossed it. I then experimented making walnut milk which turned out FAR better. I put that in a container and will try it in coffee or mix it with my protein and vitamin powder or something this week. I'm looking forward to making fresh soy milk when I get some soybeans since that recipe takes the longest and uses the heating element along with the blades. So far it seems like a good deal and when my coworker and I start eating vegan come September, it will be really handy
