I'd refer to either Tovarish or Maneki (if you live with a female cat, send her.) Everyone knows that cats are the bosses!
At least you're not dealing with a situation that my university dealt with a while ago (the dean of the College of Health Sciences was arrested during [or just after] a lecture, charged with first-degree s*ual assault.) Oh, the trouble the university had!
First-degree forceable s*ual Assault is something else! Oh, and there were several other similar charges. He didn't have a chance to clean out his desk iirc!
This is a good thing; you are getting known to the higher-ups from different depts and that could lead to a job change. It could even be a job that pays more (could, but not likely).

Oh I'll go. About time I hobnobbed with the chairs. I'll have to figure out what to wear.
It's been a while since we had a juicy scandal. We had this dude and unfortunately he was one of my research faculty. Thankfully he's since retired.
