Today I completed my three-day shopping marathon with a trip to Urban Outfitters, to-er-"outfit" myself for my trip to L.A. (Because although god knows I'll do plenty of shopping there, I need to have something to WEAR shopping, and not heavy wool sweaters either.)
Urban bestowed upon me:
this, in pale yellow;
this;
this, in pink (and on sale); as well as two other shirts that I can't seem to find online (one of which is a t-shirt that says "Texas is for lovers")
I also got a "Water Sign" shirt at Limited, which apparently is too cheap to spring for printing 12 different shirts with all the signs of the zodiac; a cream colored winter hat in the clearance bin for $5 (although whoever thought that winter was over and that you could put everything on clearance is hideously *wrong*, as evidenced by the strong lake breeze when I was in Evanston today), a grey camisole, and a pink leather purse.
Most of which were on sale. (Because I am the coupon/discount queen).
I rock. And, I am now adorably outfitted for 80 degree days. Which, knowing this town, will come in about four more months.
But when they come, I'll be ready.
ETA: Things my mother has criticized today (a short list):
* my bangs (should have gotten them trimmed at salon)
* skirt (can see through it, in random cases of direct sunlight)
* shirt #1 (too expensive)
* shirt #2 (emphasized *wrong breast*)
Someone, please, kill me now. Or kill my mother.
