Fic formatting
Okay, so I know a lot of you guys post fic. How do you format them, in terms of making sure they show up correctly on LJ? In particular, how do you format your paragraphs? And if you write in Word, what steps do you take to make everything compatible? (I've turned off smart quotes.)
I'm not a total HTML noob, but fic formatting is enough to drive me up the wall. I never know what's going to work best, and it takes me forever to get everything to look right sometimes. With my most recent fic, I never did get it exact. Dreamwidth seems a little more user-friendly, but there's still some difficulty.
And is it just me, or is there some difficulty lately getting AO3 to put spaces between paragraphs?
