I still live, despite evidence to the contrary :)
I am a Project Lead for 5 contract efforts now and am also writing the training program for our office. Given that everything we do is not taught in school, that is more like writing a college curriculum for 7 or 8 different majors. Lots of work. I travel quite a bit as well so am home about two weeks of the month. I have been very very successful in my new position...really successful. I suspect I will end up senior management at some point and have been bringing in lots of business to the company and to the USG branch that we support. I am still so nervous that I will screw up but so far so good.
I still do play WoW sometimes when I get a chance, but seems that running a guild gives you RL skills and I could not pass up a chance to take the RL opportunity when offered a promotion. I am really glad that I took my time leveling, fished lots, made good friends, took a turn at running things, and learned a lot. I am glad that I never let it run my life and have always treated it as entertainment. Basically I don't get cable TV and spend some of the standard TV time in game instead. Hell, its lots cheaper per month than TV. WoW has...really had a positive impact I think and I am pleased to have met my fellow guildies who mostly share the same view of the game. In that we consider it a GAME and RL comes first :) Most are married, seriously dating, have kids, have great careers, etc. Nice to associate with peers.
Other than work I spend time with my boyfriend, read lots, and am preparing to go hiking again in NH with my dad this summer. I really need to work less and get in shape for that. I can't wait though to spend time with him and to get out in the mountains again!
I am quite stressed, don't want to get up at 3:15 am Monday to travel, and want tulips! I really can't complain though overall.
Hope everyone is doing well.
