How are we all. I have been mostly stressing lots at work, but have remied all the boredom and stagnicity(is that word? it should be) with 'having a life' again. As much as I love curling up and hiding away at home with my movies and music and pencils and paint and other shiny things, it does drive me a bit insane and leave me feeling very.....meh.... now and then.
Sooooo last Wednesday, I undertook a not-to-planned trip to london town. Slightly impromptu things always pleasantly surprise me, coz i'm usual so planned and organised with my shambling ;p
Yes, anyway, Obsessive Compulsive got added to the Download bill doing an acoustic slot so a 'warm up gig' was planned in Camden with some other superawesome bands in the vein of Slaves to Gravity, Heavens Basement and a few others
After a long day at work i glittered up and sashayed down to The Worlds End, to meet a Rizzyface and her lovely (young) man. (Thats the only quip, I promise). We were also joined by a James, and saw random others and lots of merriment was had. JettBlack weren't anything special acoustic, but they're not anything special anyway. Heavens Basement still managed to sound really rocking acoustic, though I still miss Richie on vocals :/
Slaves To Gravity were a band I'd kinda forgotton about. HOW? (also, really how? as I have their poster on my kitchen cupboard and my bedroom door). I hadn't realised they'd actually gotten round to doing 'new stuff' I think. But it was very good acoustic. We stood near the front as it had been so packed for Heaven's Basement, then it wasn't as a busy. So we were stood RIGHT at the front. It was good ;D And they were pretty. Very, very pretty. Ridiculously so, in fact. How did I forget he was that pretty? And how is he prettier without all the long hair and 'glam rock' image? HOW?
Then Obsessive Compulsive. I <3 this band, soooo much. Kelii has such an amazing voice, like, really amazing and they translated much better acoustic than I thought they would, being 'angry girl rock' and all. And she such a sweetheart too :)
So yes much fun was had, and a million laughs over all the old times and the pretty man who was smelling his own hair and THE TUBES(that was mainly me laughing) and 'boyfriends' in matching linkin park tshirts. And in the social diversity that is london gig toilets I also encountered a friendly american girl and a VERY apologetic german man. Lols.
Thursday I had more impromptu plans in the form of pizza night with my friend Tracy, we watched movies and hung out and didn't drink any wine for once :o. We will remedy that this thursday, i assure you.
And now...I am a very excitable little bunny rabbit. I am going to see Buckcherry in Camden tomorrow night. I didn't know they were playing till last tuesday when I just thought I'd look up to see if they were doing shows to coincide with them being over Download. So I hastily booked tickets, then found out on wednesday that Slaves to Gravity will be supporting them. (I may have squealed when they announced that at the rather quiet acoustic gig, i can't quite remember, i was in a happiness/pear cider/pretty boy induced daze) So yes. VERY excited for tomorrow. I've been telling everyone at work that I won't be coming back, One day this may well be the case and then they won't laugh at me ;p
On the opposite of impromptu, I have booked my tickets for the Wrestling next January. Block A5 row 5...thats got to be good, right? :D
Now everyone needs to keep their fingers crossed for me for the next 7 months that Alex will a) be announced for it and b) keep from injuring himself again. I'm not holding too many hopes that Chris will be there, as his knee surgery had put him out for AT LEAST six months :(
But Alex is teaming with James Storm (what a slut) atm and that would be AMAZING to see <33333333
And he has been looking divine recently with his little bit of injury fat ;) And he's lost all his 'I have muscles on my muscles and look like skeletor' definiton so his hip indents look phenomenal! I've never noticed them on him before but....:O
Stay like this for a litle while please?
Look at him, totally standing like a hooker. What a tart. I have to point out, he hadn't had a match on this show. There was absolutely no reason for him to be shirtless, other than his need to constantly show off his body. XD (and he's totally holding his little bit of belly in for the whole clip, its hilarious. He keeps fidgeting with his belt and looking down. So self concious for one so hot) But, fuck me, those hips 0__________0. I could stare at them forever. Preferably quite close up.
