Food Truck Friday!
Actually, it's Food Truck Thursday AND Friday!
Yesterday was Fojol Brothers: Benethiopia where I had the Beef Berbere and the Beets&Beans. The beef was tender and flavorful. There were no beans to be seen in the Beets&Beans but the beets were very nicely prepared. Everything was just a hair too spicy, but the injera bread helped to soak up some of that.
Today, I met my sister down by the Nationals Stadium for Truckeroo, a monthly event where the trucks all gather and there is beer and music. I tried DC Empandas. I had one of each: beef, chicken, and spinach. The spinach was by far the best!
Honestly, the food trucks was one of the things I missed the most while being furloughed. If it happens again, my co-workers and I have agreed to just quit and open a food truck. Apparently, I've been designated the tech officer!
