Mom and I went to see Beauty and the Beast today, the 3-D version. I've seen BatB a million times, but only on video/DVD. I didn't see it in theaters during the initial release or the re-release a few years ago. The Tangled short before the movie was an added incentive.
The 3-D was actually pretty subtle, to the extent that there were parts where I could remove my glassed and see the movie just fine. The 3-D was most noticeable during crowd scenes, when the characters were traveling through the woods and when rain or snow was falling, so the Mob Song towards the end looked pretty neat, though by that point my eyes were a little tired. Not overly strained, just a little tired.
My hours at work were cut back already, so I've been drawing a lot to fill up my extra time. The last few drawings and comic pages that I've done are pretty good, but I seem to have lost steam. I can't get the next page of Mario's Day Job to look right and I don't know whether it's better to start over with a shiny new page or try and finish what I have. Since what I have is already drawn and partially inked, I think I'll just finish it and move ahead.
