The only thing I've actually out-right asked for is a copy of Super Paper Mario. Which I know my mom bought for me.
I've hinted for paper and pencils and My Little Ponies. For some reason, my relatives don't like to get me art supplies. They always say things like "Oh, I figured you already had plenty"
