Firefly Festival

I haven't really played Harvest Moon 64 since I started Dream About Me, so I've been playing it again recently. I don't remember the exact context, but at some point one or two readers said they were looking forward to the Firefly Festival since it was kind of romantic. I didn't remember it really being romantic, but it had been a while since I last played, so I didn't give it much thought at the time.

Earlier today I had the festival in my new game and it's romantic. At all. It's a festival to honor the spirits of the dead and it's rather somber. Beautiful, but sad. Not romantic. Unless...no. Not romantic.

Which makes me ask:
