Thinking!
For the past few days I've been giving serious thoughts to doing paid art comissions. It's something I've considered on and off for months, but never really thought too deeply on until recently.
My trouble is I'm not sure what to charge. I don't want to undersell myself, but I don't want too charge too much either. I've browsing DA, checking our artists both mire and less skilled than myself, trying to figure out what prices I should set.
I'm thinking maybe $5 for pencil sketches, 15 for inked art, 30 for digital colors, and 40 for traditionally colored art. The prices would be somewhat flexible, depending on the level of difficulty involved. Do these seem reasonable? I don't want to overcharge people, but charging too little is also a concern. And there's also the cost of materials to take into account.
