Perth Trip
Friday:
Went to Adams, then we went to Daves. He wasnt home so we went to Dominoes and got Pizza, a Garlic Bread and a Coke and went and sat in 'Coon Lagoon' and ate it on a bench close to the pond and fed the nasty seagulls and stuff liek that. Then we went back to Daves and went for a drive in the Cortina. James came over and got an ounce. Then we went to Corkies to pick up Corkies ute that James brought. So we all pile out of the Cortina and go down Corkies drive way and there is Chris. I swear i nearly spewed on he spot and i could feel Adams muscles all tence up and stuff. So we stayed for a while and it was all too tence so after about an hour I asked Dave if he would take me and Adam back to his place. Then I rang mum and I left.
Saturday:
Got up at 6 to leave for Perth. Got there at about 12 and went to my Aunty Jennies. We waited around there and then went to see my Nanna (who is in a hostel/nursing home) and I've never ever seen her look so bad. Normally she is so tall and bouncy and full of life. But when we walked in there she was hunched over the bed with the blinds closed staring at her wardobe. So we go in and there was no hugs and kisses. She jus sat there and asked how we had been..small chat. So we left and went and saw Pop, who is in a Mental Home he was otay, he jus cant remember things that happened recently. He can remember things that happened in the past..like the war and stuff, but he cant remember things that happened yesterday or a week ago. We left and went back to Aunty Jennies. Then we jus spent the night drinkin piss.
Sunday:
Woke up, had brekkie at Aunty Jennies and then went to see Pop again before we left. We went in there and rang the bell for the gaurd to let us in, and Pop came up to the door and started rattling the door handle trying to let us in and we had to knock on the door to make him stop. He finally stopped and the gaurd came to the door and pop wondered off. We went in and finally found him and sat him down. You see he thinks that nanna is in the Menal Home with him, altho she is never there. He thinks every grey headed woman is Nanna. When we got to him he went to the shower's door and sayed 'Nan will be out in a minute, shes just having a shower' and sat down with us. Then we were talking and stuff and then we go 'How bout we go sit out side' (as he can not go outside without some one being ther keeping an eye on him) and he went to his room (the doors are all locked for security) and knocked on the door and sayed 'Kennie and Claire are here, Glad.' and came up to us and sayed 'She'll be out in a minute, shes jus getting dresses' It was so upsetting to see him looking for Nanna so despratly, and thinking that she is right there with him when shes not. Nanna on the otherhand doesnt really care about seeing Pop. So we went and sat outside and had a talk to him and stuff. Then when we had to go we went and sat him down in the lounge room type thing to watch the football but he kept getting up and offering us his seat and stuff. So we eventually got outta there and the gaurd let us out and as soon as we stepped out me n Dad looked at eachother and burst into tears. We hugged for a bit but it was no good. Pop jus looked so...(lord forgive me) weird. Its not the pop we used to know. Its not our pop, yet we love him just the same. It like he's the shell of the old Pop we used to know. It was jus so upsetting.
