stand-off
there are five armed men that i can see, guarding my street and surrounding my neighbors house. albert drove home this morning and within five minutes heard a loud bang and then ambulances, police, you-name-it. five minutes later, i woke up in bed to a woman screaming and a police man slowing summoning her to my street from the adjacent one. he tried to calm her down and then did the same with another woman. i thought maybe there was an accident just moments after albert went by. the radio is saying there is a gunned man somewhere in my neighbor and that he already shot someone. nothing is budging. i went upstairs to tell the neighbors not to take their four year old outside (or themselves, of course) but they couldn't hear my knocking over the dryer. and these guns are gigantic. i am trying to look under my deck without letting anyone see that i am home. i am scared. now there's a group of three policeman pointing to the house on the other side of me. still scared!!!
edit: [9:09 AM] still happening, full stand-off. but they are saying someone was taken to hospital early this morning with head wounds but not gunshot wounds. they think it's related and i can look into the house they are speaking of. police dogs are currently losing their mind.
