It's Saturday Night...

...do you know where your plans are?

Yeah. Likely frolicking about in the sewers after being flushed down the Loo.

I spent the day doing yardwork with Dad as opposed to having lunch with friends.
Now it's 7:30 and I'm about to eat dinner with my parents.
Afterwards I plan on proceeding with my boooooring evening.

Why must people be such

I don't know but I feel your pain.

It's like a bad, afterschool special slogan:

It's a Saturday night, do Youknow what your kids are doing???

I live in Marietta.
So, not far off.

While I loved going out by myself in Asheville, I also seemed to know everyone there. It wasn't as big of a deal to go into a bar by myself because I had a solid group of friends in town and I'd almost always run into one of them.

Here I feel odd going out by myself with no real plan. I don't really have too many people I pal around with regularly, and there's certainly a lack of girl-friends... *le sigh*.

I just can't really bring myself to go out alone these days.

yes, i've also found Atlanta too big for a tight knit social scene. Not that i'm complaining. At least it has one that involves more than one bar that's not called Billy Jack's. =P

Are you going to college in Atlanta? or did your family move from asheville? (sorry i'm being so nosy). I used to date someone in Roswell. I enjoyed the area.

I grew up in Atlanta.
When I went to college in Asheville, my parents moved to Marietta.
I am taking some time off from school alltogether to get myself organized and in a better emotional-mental space ... I will probably be going back in January, but maybe not til Summer.

And don't worry - nosiness is ok ;)

I haven't spent much time in North Carolina, but the parts I did visit were beautiful. Especially the Brevard and Cashiers areas. I really wish I had gone to college in North Carolina. The mountains are ultra peaceful.

Since nosiness is ok, i checked out your website. You have a beautiful, jazzy voice. *le sigh* I wish I could sing.

I'm actually trying to get more into blues and jazz.

I know just what you mean. After a day with the parents, I'm settling in for a night of heavy packing and some down and dirty JAG or Diagnosis Murder or something with the 'Rents. What wild girls we are! ;)

If and when I *do* make it out your way, we will have to go out sometime and paint the town! Have fun, whatever you do. No doubt you'll find some trouble to get into.
