[Day 9]
[
He's gone. Yozak looks at the
letter in his hand as he walks. Immediately. That was a direct order from his superior officer. However, his feet seem intent on making a detour, because soon he finds himself pushing open the gate of the barn and making his way into the stables and the redhead can't remember for the life of him how he arrived there.
In his stall, Koen is stamping and snorting and causing a ruckus, just like Yozak knew he would be. The stablehand gives him a sharp look as he comes in.]
"Yozak...I'm glad you're here. I've tried everything, but I still can't get him to calm down--"
He'll be okay.
[The redhead smiles and reaches his hand out towards his horse, but Koen tosses his head at Yozak too and snaps at his master's hand.
Yozak quickly withdraws his hand as if he's been burned.]
...he'll be okay. I think.
[The stablehand idles, watching the redhead and the skittish horse for a moment and seeming reluctant to go.]
Something wrong?
"Well, Koen, Yozak...I've never seen him like this before. Aren't you worried?"
Nah. It's 'cause you've never seen him away from Vriundt before. Once Vriundt gets back, he'll be back to his old self in no time...
"What's that?"
[The redhead snaps out of her reverie and looks at the letter in his hand.] Probably worth more than my job. Give him a treat if you can spare any apples. If not, just let him alone; he'll get bored eventually.
[He pockets the letter and heads for the door, intent on finding Gwendal.] Take care now.
[So...if I were Gwendal, where would I be hiding from this mess...? Better start with those hiding place he showed me.]
