tomorrow is valentine's day...
...i'm alone, but i love myself & i'm living with mom and daddy.
today i decided to rededicate myself to good ole LJ. i have been away too long. in fact, i did a non-scientific and completely baseless calculation that led me to the conclusion it has been roughly 27.5 thousand days since i last updated... (pay no attention to the date on my last update)
to catch you (by "you" i mean lj & those out of the loop) up...
i graduated with my masters degree and moved home to live with mom & pop. i am loving being at home! it is so nice to not have to worry about groceries or bills or roomates...(no offense darling log) i'm working part-time at pottery barn (i made the big transfer before christmas) and will hopefully start subbing sooner than later. (apparently in huntsville city you have to go through an orientation first and they don't have another one until feb.23rd)
i am dating the love of my life, blake, and look forward to spending the rest of my life with him. it will be 2 years on may 3rd...he also graduated with his masters in december but got a job teaching at montevallo middle school so now he is living at home in sylacauga and teaching in montevallo. 3 hours apart but it doesn't feel like it. no strain!! i wasn't worried to begin with but it really has been relatively painless. a little weird since i'm used to seeing him every day, but mostly it has just proven how right we are. it's a very nice and comforting feeling. i'm looking forward to having some big life-changing announcements to make...hopefully sooner than later. (hint)
other than that, not much to report. i've finally stopped being tired all the time but i'm still having a hard time sleeping. graduate school (especially the last semester) was so draining and stressful, it is weird for me to be "coasting"...
i have big plans and will be getting started asap. lesson plans, organization, etc, etc.
it is weird to think i'm done with school for a while...someday i want to get my doctorate, maybe a second degree...hopefully art history...but for now, FINITO!!!
anywho...i'm off to craft! it's been so long...but i actually have time to paint & paste & patsy around with my craft stuff. i am LOVING it! painting is the most relaxing thing for me...right up there with the perfect nap or disney movies.
