That was such a sweet story!! I remember when My Grandmother and I used to sit at the edge of her bed and looked through her box, It was a wood box with carved flowers on the top and a mirror with etched flowers on the inside!! I loved that box no one else appreciated it's beauty so when she passed I got possession of the box and it sits on my dresser to this day with all my important memories just as it had when my Grandmother had it~

My mom has a wooden box too. And I used to love looking through it as well as sitting in her closet and rummaging through her clothes.

And with my own daughter now, I've noticed that she too has started to take an interest in my things. She loves my jewelry, my dresses, etc...

So this fic kinda came to me as I thought of those things and how it seems to be a universal thing--little girls looking through their mother's or grandmother's things.

Also, I think it's wonderful you got possession of the box. It's always nice when precious things like that end up in good hands.

I think so too!!! and it is a very girl thing I think~ My girls argue on who is going to get what, but my youngest daughter Samantha I believe will inherit the box, she has shown the most interest and love for it~

I only have one little girl and we won't have any more children so everything will go to her. She loves my wedding ring and engagement ring set the most. She will get those one day.
