(18:05:15) Denyss McKnight: why bitter?
(18:06:09) Chibi (san): After seeing alot of poverty and pollution and just madness in general you tend to feel very strongly about two important things..
(18:06:31) Chibi (san): one: that you are fortunate and it can ALWAYS be worse..
(18:07:15) Chibi (san): two: that canadians are generally ignorant assholes and even though you knew this already, you didn't know you could hate anymore than you already did
(18:08:39) Denyss McKnight: that bad huh?
(18:10:04) Chibi (san): Uhm, well after seeing 70 year old men perve on 14 yo girls because some thai family couldn't afford to feed her let alone the rest of their family and decided as a result to sell their underdeveloped children to these assholes, your take on life in general gets bashed just a little bit..
(18:10:26) Chibi (san): and then some, the term culture shock I believe is an understatement
(18:11:36) Chibi (san): I did enjoy some of thailand, I went scuba diving, pet live tigers, even got chased by rabid baby monkeys, but I think it's normal to go through bouts of emotions having seen so much in such little time.
(18:13:26) Chibi (san): To be honest though, I recommend it
(18:14:21) Chibi (san): It's a beautiful country and it is dirt cheap
(18:15:11) Chibi (san): I made an honest effort to get to know their culture and learn some thai
(18:15:21) Chibi (san): so I would say it was all worthwhile
(18:16:01) Chibi (san): and also keep in mind I tend to be a compulsively emotional person..
(18:16:38) Chibi (san): have I made you sorry to ask why?
