is it my time?
while i was at the bridal store looking for my own dress, another bride came in with her bridesmaid and started trying on dresses.
she was gorgeous.
she was of islander descent and was just stunning to look at...
she seemed really closed off to the sales assistant and it was really busy and she wasnt really getting any help. she had tried several dresses on and had put the first one she tried back on - we all thought that it was by the nicest...
she was looking at veils but the SA was off helping someone else and her BM picked one up and put it on her - it looked awful!
so there i go wandering over and start going through the veils till i found a couple that would go with her style of dress and as she had no idea how to put them on, she asked me to do it. i felt like i was taking over so i went to hand it to her BM who refused to take it saying i knew more than her to go ahead!
so i tried a couple of veils on her and we settled on one that everyone agreed suited the whole outfit to a T.
by this stage the assistants in the shop were standing around watching!
they were surprised by my choices, saying they would never have thought to pair the dress with those veils...
i then had a head piece on her head and jewellery!
there i was running around the store hunting up bits and pieces to give her the overall effect!
when i was done and she was adorned from head to toe the sales assistants and manager congratulated me on a job extremely well done! and thanked me for helping out during rush hour!!! they said i had a very keen eye for bridal fashion... as i was leaving they asked me to come back next weekend!!!!!!!!! lol!
the upshot is that the bride, Livia, was so impressed by my abilities that she asked if i would mind giving her my number so she could call for some advice to do with her wedding!!!!!!!
she and jolie were both adamant that i should go into business as a wedding coordinator/guru/guide/helper/shopper/dresser etc!
they said they were very very impressed!
could this be a new avenue for me?
im going to see if the bridal shop wil take my resume next week in case any jobs come up...
im sooooo excited!
