In Which I Get Sucked into Yet Another Vision of Reality
O.k., why has it taken me so freaking long to realize that steampunk is possibly the coolest alternate world ever? And that 'The Girl in the Fireplace' is so totally of that world, and that this year's DW Christmas special might be as well. I'll even forgive them the use of ( INSERT SPOILER VILLAIN HERE) if they create a Victorian millieu of clockwork horses and elephants and shiny brass telescopes and sword-canes brought back from the Lost Oasis of the Kalahari and maybe an alien swing band and - my hopes already exceed my expectations; this is why it's a bad idea to get so excited about a television show five months before it even airs...(*subsides into gloom*) And that was pretty much all I had to say, so I'm going to leave you now and go read the backlog at this blog here: http://www.brassgoggles.co.uk/brassgoggles/?p=903.
