hand-picked jury

lawyer: "so what do you do for a living?"
my prof: "I'm an economist, etc, etc."
lawyer: "do you promise to lay aside your expertise for this case?"
my prof: "Okay, but I'm not going to ignore anything that is flat-out wrong."

In the end, neither of the lawyers wanted him on the jury, because he wasn't "dumb" enough to be swayed by their pseudo-statistical mumbo jumbo.

Which goes to show if you want to get out of jury duty, get an education, kiddies!!

Ah, so nothing much else to say really. I saw Ocean's 12 for the first time tonight at the dollar theater. It's safe to say it has earned a spot as one of my favorite movies. I plan on seeing it again later sometime this week.

Brad Pitt never did anything for me, but at the beginning of this movie, I could see a little of what everybody sees in him. Not bad. Catherine Zeta was gorgeous. The music was so slick to the point that it felt a little obnoxious, but I was willing to forgive that because of the scene where that french guy dances through the lasers. That was cool. Or should I say, zat vuz quoule.
