So... I'm considering myself as lucky as fuck.
Yes, haven't updated in a looong, looong while. Jessa came and went. I was a craptastic host on whole. Usually people will act different than they normally are in order to impress friends or whatnot. I can say that I was totally me, which isn't impressive. I have pet names for Seven, I'm not the nicest momma in the world, or even close really. Aya was actually well behaved for her, around Jessa. Me + Bill (bro in law) = What? We're supposed to do something OTHER than drink or party? SHIT.
I hope Jessa had a good, if not decent time here. Though it did briefly snow less than 4 days after she left. That'd prolly amuse her like shit. *g*
After that, I hadn't felt like doing anything. Aya still had her bitch cough, and I still was just drained of energy. It has mostly come to a head recently.
Please note, I've been on a final warning for attendance for a bit. Supposedly I can't miss a day until late April or I get fired. Last week on Monday, Aya's cough just, fuck, was too much. So I called in, work be damned and took her to Urgent Care. That was Monday. Aya had Bronchitis (sp, I'm sure). Work let me pass since I had documentation, but still, was over the final limit for attendance. The next day (Tuesday), I was able to trade my shift, coz I was exhausted and hadn't gotten enough sleep.
Wednesday I went to work as usual.
Thursday, I just did NOT want to work. I woke up late, after (for me) a good night's sleep. Like almost 7 hours, amazing yo! So my brother called me in to work. I was more than willing to pay lotsa money for Urgent Care for myself to have an excuse to not go to work for that day.
And holy fucking shit.
I went to Urgent Care. Fuckers shot me up with an IV AND a broad spectrum anti-biotic shot. Why? Coz well apparently there was a fucking reason I've been coughing for almost a month and had no energy. I have an upper rhespiratory infection. But, it gets better. There seemed to be a bit of fluid in my right lung. Not enough to call it pneumonia, but we all know better.
So imagine my fucking shock. I went to Urgent Care to get out of work. Yet, my condition was so bad it was either bed rest from Thursday until Monday or 2 days in the hospital. (I have an insane deductible for my insurance so guess what I chose?) So. Lotsa work missed.
But we don't even get into the best shit. When I was at Urgent Care on Thursday during my diagnosis, they also ran a strep test. Ya'll know. Strep Throat. The bitch. It came back negative.
I woke up less than 12 hours later with a sore and swollen throat. At first I thought it was due to the new cough syrup with codeine, so I stopped taking it. And I slept, and slept and slept. I work up the next day realized, nope. Not the meds. So I went to another Urgent Care, because by that time I already KNEW I also had strep. And of course, I was right. How fucking craptastic is that? I have a strep test that comes back negative and LESS than 12 hours later I have fucking strep?
So yeah. I've been doused with meds. Insanely. My strep is almost gone. The possibly pneumonia is decent, not hard to breathe but...
And the upper rhespiratory condition? Hell on Earth.
Technically I should be fired for being so far over the points system at work. But I'm not. And honestly, once again... I call it amused. The fact that the only reason I even WENT to Urgent Care was to get out of work without getting fired, and then to find out so much was wrong with me, and some of which still is... I call it WHOA.
I probably am the luckiest bitch right now. And I hafta be up in less than 4 hours, which means since I am back to the crap sleeping pattern, I'm so screwed.
Miss you Jenny love.
