Vent-age
Blah. So I think wedding planning sucks. We moved the date 20 times in the past two days, alone. We've finally decided April 15, 2004. The only thing that will change that is hall availability and I think this far ahead should be ok. We wanted to this October but there is just no way we can pay for everything we want done right now. We want an apartment. All the reception halls are biting us in the ass big time. I think if we wait till than though we can La Roy's hall. Which is a super nice hall. It's $250 for the hall and $23.50 per plate and including the bar, per person. My grandpa said as a wedding gift he'd pay the $250. So Josh and I would really only have to pay for catering than. Our next issue is the church. His pastor was totally rude to him about not being a member and yadda yadda ... Josh and his family have gone to this church the entire nine years the church has existed. I'm talking way back when it was just a sermon in a bingo hall. That guy is a smug, hypocritical bastard. Why would we want to attend a church that doesn't accept us? We'd agree to take the marriage classes and yadda yadda ... Whatever. We're having major church and hall issues and I've basically wasted my entire afternoon on the phone accomplishing nothing but a headache and moving the date back. His mom is being totally rude. I met her on Sunday and she was a snatch to me and than she told Josh our marriage would never work if we weren't christian. That makes me livid. This coming from a "devout" christian woman with two failed marriage under her belt .... Hmm. Odd. My parents will be married for 30 years in August. I've never stepped foot into a church w/either of my parents. That includes all 21 years of my life. Imagine that. I guess god just wasn't on her side back than when she was bringing home homeless people and abusive men to help take care of her children. I love people who throw stones while they live in glass houses. I just love it. *sigh* So I officially hate his mom. I have class now. I just wanted to vented. Toodles.
