Life Update

It's been a busy week around these parts. Work has been keeping me moving, as well as keeping me frustrated. I'm trying to render a drawing that just does not want to cooperate. I've been playing with it for about two weeks now, and keep coming up with a lousy 3D pic. I'll have to get back to it again tomorrow, but for today, I'm just hanging out around the house, being a bum. I've crocheted a bit, and will work on some cards for Easter, but other than that, today is pretty much a laid back day. Thursday, MrD and I went to several garage sales. I didn't find any great bargains, but he did...some antique stained glass windows. He's been wanting some for various windows in the house, so he bought a few of them. All I could find was these three small bottles, kinda like apothecary jars, only smaller and a bit different. I don't know what I'll do with them, but for ten cents a piece, it doesn't matter.

Yesterday, we worked out in the yard, raking up leaves and mowing. We have absolutely no grass in our front yard, so today, MrD planted some. Probably later this week, we'll go buy some flowers for the flower beds to liven the yard up a bit. The tulips near the curb are starting to bloom...pretty purple and yellow...and the daffodils have about seen their last days. We have a bleeding heart growing near the house, that hasn't bloomed yet, but the flowers are really pretty and interesting when they do.

I bought a couple of books at the library booktique when I picked Nik up from her volunteering there Thursday -- Hissy Fit by Mary Kay Andrews and White Oleander by Janet Fitch. The first one I've never heard of but it looked like a decent read, and the latter was on Oprah's book club. I'm hoping to get back to reading soon, since I have a bunch of books waiting to be opened.

Thursday night, I went back to the library for a crochet workshop. I wanted to go and make sure I'm doing everything alright, which I evidently seem to be. Most in there had at least a little crocheting experience, so for the most part, we just sat around and helped each other while chit-chatting. My friend, L, that taught me how to crochet, was one of the two speakers of the assembly, so it was good to sit back and talk to her again since I haven't in awhile. I also ran into a friend I'd made during NaNoWriMo back in November. She told me to start coming to the knitting group on Wednesday nights since she does and there's others there that crochet. I'm thinking about doing it this coming Wednesday if nothing is going on.

I'm still alive, just keeping busy. The weather is gorgeous, so when I'm not inside working or crafting, I'm usually outside soaking up the sun or working in the yard. I hope to catch up on my Flist soon.

Life is good.
