Ugh....
Merry Christmas eve everyone, hope it's going better than mine. Of COURSE I have to fucking work today, and Borders is MOBBED. Jesus Christ people, IT'S CHRISTMAS EVE, YOU SHOULD BE DONE SHOPPING, AN D YOU SHOULD BE FUCKING MAD AT US FOR NOT HAVING THE SHIT YOU WAITED TIL THE LAST MINUTE TO TRY AND FIND.
Of course due to the fact that lines are all the way to the back of the store, I have to be on registers, which I HATE because people are the most ungrateful to you when you're not helping them find something, and even more ungrateful when they didn't find what they wanted. SO. I'm at my register with a gigantic line snaking parallel to the counter so everyone has a clear view of us, and this guy comes up with a basket full of huge-ass coffee table books and shoves them on the counter at me. I can tell he's pissed off at this point, so I'm like, TRYING to be nice about asking for all the shit we have to ask for while making room to actually SCAN these things. Once all of them were on the table, I hit one with my hip and ALL OF THEM FELL ON THE GROUND. The guy throws his hands up and goes JESUS CHRIST, THOSE WERE GIFTS! And of course I'm like OH MY GOSH IM SO SORRY and he just doesn't say a word to me until we're all done, and EVERYONE saw it.
Of course I wouldn't make eye contact with any of the next customers and they were all like "Some people just get so grumpy around Christmas!" and "I won't yell if you drop my books!" And I was SO embarrassed, even though I drop shit all the time. But this one guy bought a bunch of Lindt truffles an gave one to me, he said I needed it ;o;
So...I have something I wanted to finish by Christmas, and I hope I can...
Anyway, all will be well, only one day of work left for me on Friday, then I'm done 'til summer.
*heavy sigh*
Anyway, tomorrow is not only Christmas, but also my (former?) best friend's birthday...I feel bad because I haven't gotten gifts for any of my home friends...last year we all agreed that we were poor and decided not to...and I can't draw for them because they don't like animu...Oh, I don't know.
