Help find Worf a home

Jan 05, 2011 22:12

Last month, my sister found a dog running through traffic at 4:30AM. She brought him to my home and we spent a month trying to find his owners.

So, after being unable to find his owners for a month, we are putting Worf up for adoption.

Worf is an approximately 1 year old neutered male blue pit. He was brought to my home as a stray who was running through traffic in the Northeast part of Philly.

He is very playful, loves to cuddle on the couch and in bed. He loves his chew toys and a good game of fetch. He’s very strong, so walking on a collar alone is not recommended. He is very good about having his walking harness put on. He needs someone who is accustomed to handling strong dogs. He would make a great carting or weight pulling dog.

He would be better in a house where he is an only dog and without cats or children in the house. One area where he needs some help is in the car. Being in the car sends him into a panic. He will need special care to help him with his fear of cars. I’ve been working with him to try and help him get over his fear, but they are still there. Your vet may have some recommendations, such as behavior therapy or sedation when in transport.

He has been neutered and has had his shots through the PSPCA. He is free to a good home, however I am asking for vet references prior to adoption.

Please email me at missamerika82 AT gmail DOT com if you or someone you know is interested and I will gladly send you my contact information for you to get more information on Worf. Thank you!! To see a picture of Worf, please click here.
