Originally uploaded by Miss Aleneous. Well, it's official, I will be moving to Korea at the end of the Month. My contract has been signed, sealed and delivered, and my visa is in progress. I am so excited, and sooooooooooooo nervous! But good nervous.

This is the first time in a long while, maybe ever, that I have had really mixed feelings about embarking on a new adventure. I know that this is what I want to do, but it really feels like I just got to New York, and taking off again so soon just seems odd. I got my NY state license the other day. It kind of serves as a physical manifestation of my promise to myself that I will return here after Korea.

Today was my last day teaching my class. They had an exam, and then they took me out to lunch. I feel really lucky to have had such wonderful students here. They were always so willing to participate and give things a try. They were remarkably helpful and kind to me and to each other. I got to learn a lot about a variety of countries. Also, most of my Korean students are going to be visiting Korea or returning there at some point in the next year, and they've assured me that they will see me there. I'm really going to miss these crazy pupils.

To the right is a little parting shot of some of them with me
