Extraordinary Mothers
My dad sent me this video and it was just so astonishing and touching that I had to share.
How amazing is that? I think I was most shocked by the cheetah that nursed the baby baboon. It's almost like two instinctual responses that are in counterpoint to each other (hunting and mothering) meeting head on. There's something really lovely in the idea that the mothering instinct wins out.
