I'm so pleased that Slumdog Millionaire won best score and song. Latika's Theme from the score is one of the most gorgeous pieces of musical scores that I've heard in a long time. And the song Jai Ho is one of those catchy tunes you just can't get out of your head. Plus, it plays over some very entertaining credits at the end of the movie.
Slumdog Millionaire is one of those movies I'm actually liking even more as time passes since I saw it. I really enjoyed it when I saw it last week, but that feeling just continues to grow. I'm hoping it does win the major categories in addition to the ones it has already won.
And Heath Ledger's win for Best Supporting Actor was wonderful. Exactly as deserved.
