Last weekend, my friends and I headed out to Boston for Boston Comicon. we kept checking for updates along the way, because we were fairly certain the show wasn't going to do well with everything that was happening. The updates assured us that the show would go on, but they kept having to change the load-in procedure due to street closures. In the end, the convention was canceled just as we were checking into our hotel. We went to the beach to see the ocean, had delicious seafood, and drove through Salem before heading back home. I hope the convention reschedules at a time that we can go back, I'd love to see more of Boston and do one of the actual Salem tours. (One in particular is called the Witchcraft Tour and I'm Dying to check it out!)
On the way home, we stopped for a couple of hours to see Niagara Falls. The snow only made it more breathtaking. After dinner, we went back to see the Falls lit up and it was perfect, but we were freezing so couldn't stay long.
I'm currently petsitting for 2 dogs right now. With how much I've been feeling like I just have too many critters to take care of, I don't understand why I keep taking on more! One is the shiba, J.D. and he's easy, even if his owners rarely give me any forewarning that they are going to need me to come get him. The other is quite a bit more difficult and time consuming. He's an 11 year old jack russel terrier with Coonhound Paralysis. Because this is the third time he's had it, it's hit him a lot harder than it did in the past. We've been doing pretty regular physical therapy with him in the clinic, so I'd gotten pretty attached to his cute face, but had no idea what a full time job keeping him in my own house would be. At least he's a good sport for everything.
