Promo + Meme!!

Sep 09, 2010 18:31

First, a promotion (I never really do these, but I thought I should probably get into the hang of it, if I ever start a lims during the school year and want an extra skip), and then a meme! :D And to make myself get those icons out of the way so I don't have an urge to make "just a few more!", i'm going to continue to promise them. I think I've got some Narnia, some LotR, a fair bit of Merlin (more all the time, unless I get these posted!), and.... I guess some assorted period drama icons.

So, a promotion!

Questions from wunderkind_lucy . :D

1. What is the place that you want to see more than anything but haven't seen yet, and why?

I would love to go to England and see everything and anything there. So many of my favorite authors and stories come from there, and it would be really amazing! I don't know whether to hope I can study abroad there, or if it would be better to go somewhere else.

2. What is the best thing about your family?

I think it's how close we are. We all have a really good relationship with each other and I think we're a lot goofier with each other than most families tend to be. I really love spending time with them, and that I think has been the hardest part about transitioning to college.

3. What excites you most about college life?

The people I meet, I think. Just the whole aspect of getting to know all these other people I would never have met otherwise is fun and exciting! Also, some of my classes are really fun! (We did a chocolate taste test in my books/food class today! My drawing professor has a British accent!). :D

4. What is your favorite costume drama, and why?

I have regrettably seen very few of the wonderful costume dramas out there, but I think that my favorite is The Young Victoria. It was just spectacular in every way!! :D Emily Blunt was absolutely fantastic as Victoria, as was Albert. And I don't have a book to compare it to and nitpick about how my favorite scene wasn't done the way I thought it should be, so that may play a part as well. ;)

5. Who is your biggest role model?

Wow, I don't think I know the answer to that one. And it seems like I should, or else I may unconsciously not have a very good role model. I've never really considered it before though, hm. Probably either my parents, or my godmother, possibly one of my pastors... I have so many people in my life that have been a wonderful support and encouragement to me; in some areas, I guess I take a few of my friends as a role model. Hm, that's a very interesting question actually. Thanks for making me think! :)
