I don't know if anyone really knows this (besides Janelle, Colin and maybe Aaron...) but I hoard images. This started when i was really little. It was encouraged in high school so I've always had tons of clippings of stuff for reference or decoration. I always find something to do with them. When i was first introduced to the internet in about 4th grade, I made my match. I remember saving images of sailor moon on disks.

Now, I have thousands of images on my computer, meticulously organized in a branch system....I save images of things that interest me, inspire me, give me ideas, as reminders, or things that make me laugh. Anyway, i think I'll start sharing some of my favorite finds in here more frequently. I do sometimes upload them on my myspace profile (I'm never ever on myspace anymore. I only go on when I get a message and I rarely reply! i'm awful!) SO! Here are my favorite images this week. I'll put the rest under a cut so you don't have to look unless if you're interested

I love angelic pretty so. freaking. much. Unfortunately, i've never owned anything by them. It's not cheap. I love the above photo for their old ad campaign. (this was pulled from an old issue of kera i found online!) Her hat reminds me of kelly kapowski (she'd be popular even if she wore a pizza as a hat!)

Another angelic pretty piece - I love this coordinate they put together on their blog. They have great ways of coordinating their pieces (lots are mix and match) but I adore this one!<

I feel creepy for stealing this girl's picture off daily lolita, but her coordinate is awesome. Also wearing Angelic Pretty. I think this is a great example of how versatile and diverse Lolita fashion can be. ( If she sees this, I'm sorry! if you want me to take the photo off, please let me know!)

Geiko & Maiko time! I've posted quite a bit about geiko & maiko before, but I'm gonna mainly focus on Kotoha. I've followed Kotoha for a few years now. She's such a classic japanese beauty! She's about to go through her Erikae (graduating from a maiko to a geiko) supposedly on 12/10. Here she is as a junior maiko

Here she is right when she had her hair done in the sakko style - the last hairstyle the maiko wears before she becomes a geiko. Maiko have their real hair styled for the 4-5 years that they are maiko, and when they become geiko, they wear katsura (wigs). I'm sure this is a big relief for a lot of maiko during their erikae! I know i'd be looking forward to sleeping on a normal pillow! BUT OH MY GOSH, LOOK AT HER. SHE'S SO FREAKING ELEGANT AND GRACEFUL. FOAEHOAWI AF *KABOOM*

Maiko also black their teeth right before their erikae. I don't even have to see her whole face to know that's Kotoha. She's so distinct.

To the left is Suzuha, Kotoha's Oneesan, or "older sister". Oneesan act like a mento to their younger sisters. Rumors are flying around Gion (and online) that Suzuha is retiring at the end of the year. SAY IT AINT SO! It feels just like yesterday that i was writing in here about HER erikae. Suzuha is gorgeous, and a very popular Geiko. I love the look on her face, it's like "yeah, bitchesssss!"

and finally, Moe.

Moe is a newly debuted maiko out of the same okiya (i'm pretty sure she's in the tama okiya) her geimyo (artist's name) is Mamehana, but I like "moe" just fine. She's absolutely stunning, and so is her kimono!

here's some gorgeous wallpaper. why don't more people use wallpaper?

I wish I could dress like this all the time. This is so freaking sharp and classic. I love that sort of vintage wasp look. Gray tights and navy? Why didn't I think of that??!

Okay, so it seems like Kelly Osborne has a great fashion sense now. How did that happen? Oh well. She and her boyfriend are adorable. I'd like to think that they aren't doing anything fancy dressed like this. I'd like to think that they're getting groceries or something.

And finally, I'd like to talk about Mary Blair. Mary Blair was a conceptual artist for disney throughout their "golden ages" and I'd like to call them. Her work is so not disneyfied, but wonderful modernized cartoony art.
