If I don't sound too enthused about anything in this entry it's because I'm really not too enthused about anything today. Sorry. I had my psychologist appointment and while we didn't talk about anything emotional, it still hits me like a ton of bricks in the evening, every single time. But it's been a while and I owe you guys an update. :)
- So, my birthday! Firstly I want to say thank you for everyone who gave me wishes. I'm in the process of thanking everyone so if you didn't get a vgift in your profile, you'll be getting something in the mail. My birthday weekend was wonderful! I was given a LOT of jewelry at the family dinner, the entire OC boxset, that Nike+ thing for my IPod and a bunch of other little things, including this
amazing handmade Novak bear from my friend Heather. Next week, I get to see the new house and then we're going to Ikea to get me a new desk and a side table from which I will be making
this. I feel old!
- As you can tell, I'm still not entirely back into the whole LJ thing yet. I'm still here reading and commenting and such, but I'm going through a lot right now and as such I may not be around as often as I was before. Hopefully, I'll be more able to get back into the swing of things in about a month or so, but we'll see! I'll still update when I can and I still adore the lot of you. I'm always on twitter, tumblr and MSN if you need to reach me about something.
- So it's World Cup time! The amount I know about soccer is as follows: in Europe it's football, San Iker, Fernando aka Freckles (confusing not Verdasco or Ferrer), Sergio Ramos, Messi, Australia sucks, bzzzzzzzzzt vuvuzelas, red cards, David Beckham in a suit (not actually playing) and the aim is to score goals. Confusingly, for a sport in which goals is the point, there have been several nil-all draws. I'm beginning to think it's a bit of a Lady Gaga situation - everyone else seems to love it, but I feel I've missed the train. I do enjoy watching it because it's a pretty accessible sport (you don't need to know anything about it to know what the objective is) but once Wimbledon begins I'll probably let this thing go. Except for the cool matches, of course, where I can sit on twitter asking annoying questions like IS THAT THE FRECKLY ONE?
- I like Wimbledon because it will be shown on late-night TV to watch while I pack for the move :D I've been spending so much time in my room I haven't watched a match in ages, and I miss it like crazy!
- As for how I've been doing mentally, things have been going okay. I'm starting to wish someone had told me it all gets worse before it gets better. I have a small light that is helping me to sleep at night again, and I'm trying my best to do that and keep myself occupied during the day. Other than that, same old. I always appreciate everyone's advice, love and concern, and I'm thankful for all of it. Til next time!
