Hello! My wrist is currently KILLING me so here is a quick post I have compiled before I stop using it to type and instead watch Grey's Anatomy while resting it in a cradle (manger?) of frozen peas. There are two requests in this post which are bolded!

Another new person on the flist! lasamy is here, who I have been talking to for a little while and who I love for her enabling of my Bon Jovi-loving ways and love of Bruce Springsteen (and bb lions). I'm also jealous of her for living in Italy.
The yuletide deadline is coming up and I haven't even started. Not only have I not started, I haven't even finished going through the source material. Or got very far into it. I think I've just been pushing the whole thing to the back of my mind but I can't do that for much longer, because in about 18 hours the default deadline hits. I think I'm just going to have to suck it up. It's not going to be like last year though, wherein my story was over 5000 words. The requisite 1000 words this year is going to be challenging enough - in fact, I think I will literally challenge myself to write exactly 1000 well-crafted words.
lily_268 linked to the Dear John trailer and I'd just like to say I think I am really getting sick of Nicholas Sparks adaptations now. Which is a shame, really, because The Notebook continues to be not-half-bad (mainly because Allie was at least a semi-strong female character) but this one just looks all glossed over. I guess I'm not big on underplaying war and conflict for the sake of a romantic storyline at the forefront, though I'm coming at this form a pretty pro-military standpoint - I think being a solider is the most honourable thing anyone can do, particularly with the battles or lack of that the world's military are currently fighting. It also occurred to me that this wasn't the first time Channing Tatum has played a soldier wanting to home to his gal, because he was also in Stop Loss (also including emotional usage of Snow Patrol!).
While we're on the topic (and since it's Christmas) - AnySoldier.com!
On a different tangent - my mother goes into hospital tomorrow for actual surgery (none of this day procedure crap). As in, they are actually cutting her open and she will have to be there for a few days and will have a scar. Please wish her well! Poor woman needs it.
My other request for this post - I need someone to talk to about something. It is boring and related to my bisexuality and I dunno, I think I'd just like to talk to someone open-minded about it? It's nothing serious but not a conversation I really want to have in comments, so if someone is willing to PM me or MSN me and give me their ear for a while, that would be awesome. Tonight or tomorrow or whenever.
I'm going to see Keith Urban (sadly, alone) this Saturday ! EEEE!
 Christmas music sharing post!
I was going to say some stuff about how I have deflected from Glee and how the discussions lily_268/babyxteeth and I recently had in the comments of this post and the feelings in this post are telling but eh, the comments themselves say it all.
My wrist still hurts and I have nothing else to say. SAYONERA!
