lol all the glee kids were on drugs
Hellooo. I just finished a 2000 word English essay after cooking dinner and washing up so I'm drained, but some things:
1. Can I just say to start: I know it was a few days ago now, but my last post? akadksjh omg. As some of you kids will know I don't really do posts like that on here (I can only think of one other time in the four years I've been on here) and it was so late when i put it up I thought nobody would respond until the next day. But then you all suddenly come out of the woodwork right when I needed you to and Noelle came out of hiding and you all had such good advice and thoughts. I'm sounding cheesier than Gouda now, but I really needed that kinda support. In summary, I LOVE YOU ALL and you're all getting Christmas cards. Thank you guys.
2. Mum's surgery went well! She got to come home today because the procedure was really early in the morning, and apart from being a bit groggy and sleeping a lot, she is fine. I actually did make three bean chili tonight, and tomorrow I'm whacking something in the slow cooker. THIS IS EXCITING EH.
3. I don't think anyone else is doing yuletide (fic exchange for small, underwritten fandoms), but here's what I nominated anyway:

RPF - Tennis
RPF - Bon Jovi
Mercy
I actually went into the YuleChat the other day and brought up whether or not RPF - Tennis actually counts as a small fandom considering fic abounds for it now. Okay, maybe "abounds" isn't the right word but there certainly is a lot of it - tennisslash and so on have new fics every day. I guess the argument to be made, though, is that RPF on its own is obscure, thus why RPF - American Idol, and RPF - Football for that matter, are pretty huge yet still gets in every year. I don't know, I really don't want to bring it up to the mods in case it gets scratched; the Roger/Rafa fics in the archive were my favourites last year. Plus someone snuck Ana Ivanovic into the character list (*coughs*), so the potential for Nole/Ana is nigh. (The only other WTAers on there are Venus and Serena. PedoMoya is on there too!)
Also, you're all laughing at me for RPF - Bon Jovi aren't you? Yep. I figured if RPF - Ben Folds Five can be a category so can Jovi. That is a Char original fandom though so I'm sure nobody else will request it, but what the hell, it's in there. I'm sure there are writers out there who know the boys far better than me.

5. ETA before I go to bed for me and trustingno1 and whoever else:
...that they are going to be the first to play a new stadium at New Meadowlands (which is also going to be the new home of the Giants/Jets, I think? Something to do with the band's affiliation with major league baseball...). In other words, the term "big announcement" was used very loosely. I'm kinda pissed that they advertised it as something for people around the world to watch and in the end the announcement had no relevance to anyone outside of New Jersey. HOWEVER: at the same time word starting floating around about the upcoming tour, which we already knew was happening, but there's a press release clarifying that the band are going to be touring for the better part of the next 2 years going to 30 countries. (This was not mentioned at any point during the webcast). In keeping the Planet America trend, the only solid dates around are the North American dates and word that they're going back to O2 in London ON MY BIRTHDAY *rolls eyes*. I'd like to think Australia will be one of the 30 countries but I'm not putting money on it. (I'm also not totally thrilled by the idea of this tour, considering two years on the road is either going to mean a looong break before the next record, or that this will in fact be their last world tour). Anyway, after they made the stadium announcement they played five songs (WSYCGH, WWBTF, Bad Name, Wanted, Prayer and It's My Life) and that was it. So kinda lame all up.
This entry is boring but I have to be up tomorrow to head into uni and hand this thing in. After that I have one more essay due next Friday for drama and then I am FREE.
