Spent a wonderful 4th of July weekend with my Mom and Aunt. Since I've been home alone so much lately (Dave was only home about 3 weeks in the past 3 months) I had almost forgotten how nice it is to have other people around the house. It was nice that there was someone else around to cook and to talk to.
One of the nicest parts was that my Aunt Lisa brought her sewing machine and finished sewing all the various baby projects she was making for me. So now I'm the proud owner of 8 burp cloths, 2 swaddling blankets, and an adorable baby quilt. They are all the most wonderful things I have ever seen in my life and the fact that they were all handmade for me and the baby makes that them that much more precious.
I went to Target today after they left to go back home and picked up a few of the last things I need before my bundle of joy shows up. The highchair I wanted was on clearance so that went into the cart along with a baby monitor, a Diaper Genie, and some other odds and ends. Then it was a quick stop at the grocery store for some chocolate milk because it is oh so delicious!
I need to run the vacuum around the house sometime soon since Steve will be here on Friday to drop off Bunny for her 6 month stay and he's allergic to cats and the hot weather has caused Fry to shed like there's no tomorrow.
