I peruse theories now and again but actual spoilers I avoid.
What will you do if Amazon (or whoever) don't deliver your copy on time, and everyone is reading it except you?
I’m going to a midnight book party. I wouldn’t dare take that risk. Heh.
Will you read the last chapter before anything else? Are you planning to read the book all in one go or are you a slow reader?
I NEVER read the last chapter of a book first. Sacrilege!
What's your theory on the meaning of "Deathly Hallows?"
I agree with Keladry; I think it refers to the Horcruxes. Their objects made sacred, befouled by a monster’s soul (and therefore deathly). I hope that’s what it is, ‘cause it’s clever.
What's the craziest Harry Potter theory you've got, which you could only share with your trusted f-list?
I was one very taken in by the theory that Dumbledore was Ron. (The one about Ron messing around with a Time Turner and was never being recovered from the past. He grows up to become Dumbledore. The reason why he was so fixated on socks was because he missed the knitted items his mother made for him. Etc.)
If you could write in a sub-plot of your own choosing to the main Harry one, what would it be?
I anticipate more Snape in the 7th book, because it’s been promised. So under the assumption that my one wish is already in line with Rowling’s plans, I’ll say that I’d be very interested in learning more about Lupin’s time underground with the werewolves.
Who do you think will die in the book, and who would you be most upset to see die, even if you don't think it's likely?
I think some Weasley’s will drop, and I can pretty much accept that with a few tears so long as she doesn’t harm any hairs on the Weasley twins’ heads. I will throw a fit. I also think that Wormtail, Voldemort, Lucius Malfoy and Lestrange will finally meet their ends. I’m guessing Neville’s a high risk, as well as many Order members. Moody will finally fall, I think.
Severus, whatever his allegiance, will either die a villain or die redeemed (I really can’t guess anymore - she’s written him convincing either way). And I’ll be sad but not at all surprised. I will be surprised and angry if Harry dies. I do think his scar is horcrux but if Rowling doesn’t have her characters figure out a way around that, I’ll be miffed. I get sad endings. I’m okay with sad endings. But she’s robbed this poor boy of so much, he’s suffered so much that if he doesn’t walk away from this with is life and his two closest friends, I’ll feel cheated.
Name three main (ish) characters who you think will definitely live and why. Is there a very minor character(s) you really want to have a happy ending?
I think (hope) that Harry, Ron and Hermione will survive.
If you don't like the book, or are bitterly disappointed by it, do you think you'll still stay in the fandom?
I’ll read SS/HG fanfiction no matter what, but I’ll be horribly disappointed if the series falls apart for me in the 7th book.
One word (or concise) answers only!
If Harry could take just one adult Order of the Phoenix member with him on the search for Horcruxes, who should it be and why?
Lupin, because Harry trusts him and because he’s got extensive knowledge of the Dark Arts.
Will Remus and Greyback have a confrontation in human or werewolf form? Will Tonks be involved? Who will the other werewolves support?
I’m guessing there will be a werewolf fight, and I hope Tonks is far away when it happens. The werewolves’ allegiance will likely be split.
Who is the person from Harry's class (and it isn't him, Ron or Hermione), who will become a Hogwarts teacher? What subject will they teach?
Neville would teach Herbology.
Do you think Harry will observe Remus looking less lined and walking with a little more of a spring in his step? If so, do you think he'll attribute it to Tonks, and if he does, will he blush?
I’m not sure how the Tonks/Remus romance will play out. He may continue to push her away. So I don’t know.
Will Ginny use, "But Professor Lupin saw the futility of being a noble prat!" for one of her million arguments with Harry about why they should be together? Do you think they'll get back together at all?
I think they’ll find there way to each other again, but it’ll either be close to the end, or after the battle (and this is obviously assuming Harry lives).
Which house do you think Tonks is in, and why? Is she going to morph into someone important and who will it be?
Hufflepuff, because she’s fiercely loyal and her talents are mixed.
Who will be revealed to be the heir of Gryffindor?
Does their have to be an heir?
As JKR has promised the final chapter will be like an epilogue; how do you think the final paragraph (hopefully) donated to Remus' future, and/or Tonks', and/or anyone else you want to write a paragraph on, will read?
I’m not touching this question.
Which question from the books would it annoy you most not to have answered?
Pretty much all Snape related: If he isn’t loyal to Voldemort, what drove him to Albus Dumbledore? If he is truly a villain, why? Does he hate Muggles because of his horrible Muggle father/ What’s his boggart? His dad? A werewolf? What happened to his mother (the Irma Pince thing is going to eat me alive now)? How close was he to Lily, if at all? Blah, blah, blah?
What do you think the last line of the book is?
If the last horcrux is Harry’s scar, I think he’ll survive without it, and the last line will have something to do with him being essentially the same kind boy he always was, only more grown up and no longer with his infamous scar.
