(no subject)
Well, today is the first day it hasn't been sunny and gorgeous. Today it's cool and drizzly. All I want to do is go to a cafe and drink copious amounts of hot chocolate. I may get transferred to a harder French class, we will see. I took the test. Last night I went out and met lots of other exchange students. I talked alot with another American, John, who has lived here for awhile. Maybe he will go to the cafe with me now...My friend Elisabeth had to go home to Hamburg, Germany because her father is dying from cancer, very sad. And my American friend Lauren didn't show up to class and isn't on Skype...mysterious. And my sole complaint today - someone took my spoon and bowl out of the kitchen! I looked everywhere.
We went shopping yesterday...Lausanne is a wonderful place for shopping. Everything is quite close to where I live too. However, when you don't have a car, there isn't much incentive to buy things. For example, grocery shopping. I go almost every day because it's easier just to buy one bag of things and then go again because of the public transportation. Maybe it's just a city thing that I've never had to deal with.
Tonight for my class, we are going to a cafe/bar/restaurant then to a concert. Not bad!
I need to clean my room and stalk the concierge for my spoon and a laundry card.
