frist post of 2009
happy new year! i've been busy with family coming and going at different points. (my aunt, uncle & cousins from california, my grandmother from florida, my sister-in-laws parents)
i promised kt that we would take a trip somewhere after she graduates. we finally decided that we would visit our california family. it has the added bonus of not having to pay for a hotel room and we would be able to use the bart system to get around on our own. i might look into taking a train up to sacramento and staying at a bed and breakfast, also. i need to start looking into plane tickets.
we were given a wii for christmas. the only game that we have is the wii sports. one nice thing is that i can borrow games free from my work. that way i can try them and find out if i would really want to spend the money to buy the game (or just be really glad that i didn't waste my money on a game!).
i've also had a migraine for almost a week. it was very bad at first. over the last few days it has eased up, but has not actually gone away.
our drummer broke 2 fingers on his right hand last weekend. he is coming over for practice today, we'll see how that goes. we have a show on feb. 7. it is a clash tribute show. we'll be playing half clash song and half of our own.
one thing i am going to try, i am going to restring my old bass guitar so that i can try playing it left handed. i have gotten pretty good at using chop sticks with my left hand. that was hard at first. i kept switching it to my right hand to see how i hold them. when i use my right hand , i don't even have to think about how to hold the chop sticks.
