Footprints in the Sand [6/?]

They had been walking for some time now, and the girl had been quiet all the way. Ulquiorra was glad for it, though he knew she was crying by the sniffling noises she made now and again. Mentally, he sighed. He had no experience dealing with things of this matter, nor did he wish to acquire it. In fact, he had to keep himself from saying ( Read more... )

Oh ulqui, we all know your lack of emotional torture makes you grumpy.
I loved that he gave her that advice.
It pleased me to my soul.

Yes, it sure does. (He doesn't last very long trying to hold himself back) But he isn't just completely unkind, just very very very straightforward (and yet not...) Ahh I love the dimensions of his character<3 Thank you for reading!

P.S. (any news on that fic of yours??)

Agreed. Ulqui is one of the most complex and intresting characters to write. He can be sadistic, or he can be increadulous, or he can be blunt-trying-to-be-kind. I adore him.

It's still with my beta, unfortunately. She's got a bunch of IRL stuff going on and she only has so much time online at a time.

Also, it's pretty effing long (about 4,000 words) if I do say so myself, and I was pretty haphazardly throwing it together. So I'm sure it needs a bit of a kick in the ass before I can post it.

Aww alright then, that is understandable. *continues to wait patiently* =w=

Haha.
If it's much longer I'll probably just scrutinize the hell out of the raw, edit it up a bit, and post it with no beta work. I probably could anyway (I started on LJ strictly as a fic beta), but I always feel more secure when I have someone else read my fic's first.
Do you mind if I friend your journal?

I feel the same. Originally I didn't use a beta, and it would bother the heck out of me when I went back and found errors after I posted the fic, even tho I read and reread the thing so many times beforehand. >.< Of course you can friend my journal! I welcome it, as I have rather few friends on lj as it is XD;;

Agreed.
I actually have started into the habit of printing out my fics, and reading them through off the paper, to my dog out loud and noting any errors that way.
It helps.
haha.

Same here, I've always been terrible at keeping in touch with people, the f-list has definately been a lifesaver.

Oh that's a good idea! I think I might be too lazy to do that though, I'd rather just make my boyfriend do it so I can worry about writing, haha XDD I still have to decide how to end this fic @_@

It's my goal to find a guy who's not weirded out my my ff writing.
I never was secure enough to tell anyone about it.
I think only two or three of my IRL friends know that I write.

Endings suck.
I was writing a Kensei-Centric fic yesterday, and I ment it to be a drabble, but it ended up being well over 1,000 words because the ending I wantedrequired more detail than I originally intended.

Oops.

I understand how you feel...but it is possible! He is the only one IRL that knows I write, but he likes anime too so it's all good. I just got luck I think...

Yeah, endings do...sometimes I just dont want it to end too. It's kinda nice though when stories turn out longer than planned...at least I like reading more over less :D

Hahaha. Thanks for that. I doesn't really help much that the majority of my friends thing Anime and Manga are a waste of time. I've gotten a couple to watch Bleach with me more recently though, and that's really helped alot.

I always feel more accomplished with my longer stories. The only downside is when I tell myself I have a half hour to write, and then the ideas don't stop, my addictive personality keeps me writing until I'm finished. Which can take ages.
