Dear Glee,

Feb 22, 2011 21:39

 Props for slight improvement tonight.

PLUSES.

1) An actual plot and storyline! *slow claps* It helps that Ian wrote this episode, and sent Ryan off to the corner to eat glitter.
2) The party scene was great, actually. Bonus points for Blaine's facial expressions, Blaine's wonderful outfit, Rachel's heinous dress, the Rachel/Blaine duet (easily the best scene), and for Kurt's dad's "discovery" which was epic and wonderful.
3) Figgins. Did I mention how much I adore Figgins? "William! Glee Club! ACHIEVEMENT!" "Now they will sing a number by the artist K dollar sign A."
4) Blaine's revelation at the end, because if he had felt "sparks" with Rachel while , that would have been the dealbreaker for me, and I would have ended my ties with Glee, once and for all. So well played, Ian.
5) KURT AND BLAINE WERE ACTUALLY IN THIS EPISODE. VERY GOOD GLEE PEEPS, VERY GOOD.
6) Oh and Blaine wore his hair curly. Yay.

MINUSES.

1)*Says in Figgins voice* William! What is your problem? Why do you insist on behaving in such a creepy fashion to your students! Giving your cellphone number to them, even if they are intoxicated, is crossing teacher student boundaries! They will call their siblings or parental units! Not you, William! Please, find a hobby that exists outside stalking their lives, and wishing you were seventeen again!
2) Yeahhhh. I had lots of hope for dear William. The honky-tonk storyline seemed intriguing, but then he just got all sad-sack Will again, Man seriously needs a hobby. He creeps me out. Why did I love him so much in the beginning? Though THANK GOD he didn't sleep with Bieste. That would have been another dealbreaker. I do however, think their friendship is cute, and has the potential to develop. Oh wait, the writers are looking up the definition of "development," and still have no clue what it means.
3) I love Kurt to pieces, but I thought it was a little hypocritical that he chided Blaine for "experimenting." Did the writers forget he did THE EXACT SAME THING WITH BRITTANY?! They probably forgot.
4) I loved Artie as a nerd so much more than this faux gangsta thing he's doing now.
5) I am not buying the "Sue has no conscience" thing. It annoys me that she kicked the director of Aural Intensity down the stairs, when episodes in the past have demonstrated her to actually *care* about people. Please, please, please stay consistent with her, if you have any idea what that word means. It's irritating as all hell, and I'm still annoyed they're going with the "Sue destroys Glee club" arc again.
6)  Jeff Sam and Santana makes me so unhappy. Though I love Sam. Sam is wonderful. Sam is dorky and cute and makes me giggle, and should dump Santana because she's dumb, and then realize that his heart belongs to Byron.
7) The way that the writers are using Emma is still terrible.
8) Terri needs to come back.
9) Jesse needs to come back.
10) Kurt and Blaine need to make out.
11) All the adults storylines bore the pants off me, so they need to work on that. Except for Figgins. I love Figgins. I kind of want to hug him.

Even so, I didn't hate this episode. I smiled and giggled in several places, which is better than last week, which consisted of me yelling at the television. It was more enjoyable than grating, which is more than I can say for anything RyMurphs writes. Brad and Ian, keep writing, and just make Ryan stay in the corner with his glitter and crayons.

AND MAKE KURT AND BLAINE SING MORE.

AND THE WARBLERS.

AND MAKE KURT AND BLAINE GO SHOPPING AND BE ADORABLE AND STUFF.

AND PLEASE MAKE WILL LESS CREEPY.

Okay. I'm done.

klaine is adorable., why the fuck do i still watch glee., glee
