thoughts on QaF S3:

I FINALLY finished season 3 of QaF tonight. The dvd finally came today even though it was supposed to be here on Wednesday. I feel like this season took forever to watch & it was even so much shorter.

So my thoughts on S3: fairly undecided. Heh.
I already knew that the show changes quite a bit, but it wasn't until the last 3 eps of the season that I got the full effect of that. There were definitely certain parts I liked. I also really enjoy the colors of this season...they became much more vibrant & deep. However, season 2 still stands as my favorite by FAR.

I'll start with the finale & the two right before that since it's what I just watched. Again, I'm aware of how much more poitical the show becomes, but it REALLY showed on election day. I mean Brian giving up like everything..fuck. It definitely seemed to lack the great character interaction from before, especially considering Brian did all that because of Justin's words & actions, but they barely mentioned that. I was a little disappointed in the finale. I was disappointed more so by the wrap up with 'Dumpster Boy'. I mean such build up & drama and they have the guy kill himself. I know it served the purpose of winning the election, but I still found it rather weak.  Episode 13 actually made me cry, and surprisingly enough, I don't cry that often with this show. Poor Emmet :/ Poor Ted. I also expected Ted'd downfall to last a little longer than that. **I had actually seen this episode (the finale) a long time ago when we had Showtime before. When I started watching QaF I had remember this one particular scene, but I could never place it & or who it actually was. It was Ted. Ted at the party watching himself. That scene stayed with me at the time because it was so graphic & disturbing, so it was nice to finally see it as a whole. I also remember everyone dancing in the street.**

Hunter: I think he's growing on me. The thing that bothers me most about him is his mouth. :P I'm glad that Michael finally came around to him too.

Brian: still my absolute favorite. 100%. But again, they really slacked off with his character towards the end of the season.

Favorite moments: When Brian gets fired & Debbie comes to visit Brian at the loft and their little conversation. Hee! I love their interactions. When Brian takes Hunter home & Ben and Michael are giving him that whole lecture...Brian's little comments cracked me up. Brian on having a boyfriend "in a non-defined, non-conventional way, yeah" :) but he was all defensive in his tone. When Justin & Brian are 'getting back together. Justin's little talk about giving him another chance & the long hard hours... love them.

Over all I'm just very blah about this season. I enjoyed the beginning much more the end of the season. And I should receive disc 1 of S4 on Tuesday (crosses fingers).

Now, I'm off to watch some S2 goodness. :)

PS: I didn't look this over for errors at all (because I'm lazy), so please forgive any mistakes. :P

PPS: I've made a TON of QaF icons and I plan on posting them tomorrow..maybe.
