Muses
Is it strange that whenever I see a beautiful picture of Mai or something involving her being in trouble, my Zuko muse kicks in? He either wants to have her, hug her, make out with her, or in the case of her being in trouble, save her and kill whomever it was that put her in that situation in the first place. I find it just a bit strange. It's also there when I see pictures of Zuko, but my Mai muse isn't as overpowering Zuko's.
I shouldn't even call them muses because that's not a correct term, but I can't think of another word for them. I guess I've been writing too many Maiko fics, so a little Zuko and Mai have developed inside of me to make sure I stay in-character. xD
My muse for original pieces doesn't quite have an embodiment. It's just this little chest I open up when I write, though sometimes the stupid chest is hidden at the bottom of the ocean or the lock is jammed--darned writer's block. I'd compare writer's block to constipation, as well. You push and push but nothing comes out, or just a little and it's not even good; but when it finally does come out, you're unblocked and it just streams like a river!
.... Sorry to disgust you with that analogy, but that's all I could think of to compare it to. xD
