Lady of Thorns
See I was painting all week :P It is 18x24.
I totally used watercolors the wrong way when I did the background (the blueish part behind her face) but whatever it looks good lol. I used them very thick, more like acrylics, with a sponge. But it couldn't be very wet or else the paint just gets rubbed off, especially with that crap ultramarine I was using.
So yeah I've been doing a good job not updating everyday because I've decided most of you don't really care what goes on in my life most of the time (which I don't really blame you).
We've been doing stupid CAPT testing, so far we've done 2 letters about "controversial issues", the response to literature (the story we read was absolute crap with no symbols and some lines were actually in spanish), and math. I thought I totally failed the math part until we were talking about answers and a lot people got the same as me so maybe I passed it lol I hope so I do not want to have to take this again junior year.
I'm mostly scared for science because my teacher is away in the rainforest and the sub is not teaching us anything and the stuff we are supposed to be learning now is going to be on the CAPT.
Um yeah I think that's all the interesting stuff that happened. We watched The Prestige last night and it was good but it made me soooo very confused with the characters and the plot so I'm gonna have to see it again.
I'm going over Cindy's house sometime today to hang out with her and Katie, not sure when though, they are coming to kidnap me, I live right near Cindy.
And sometime this weekend I get to pick up bark and stuff from the basement and then my dad will let me get a cd which is good because I need more Sopor Aeternus!
And I am also going to start a charcoal piece and then I have this nice gothy sketch I did that I want to paint and then I want to do a larger piece involving Victorian-esque lily designs and THEN I am also dying to do a portrait of someone with colored pencils, preferably a tan person so I actually have to figure out skin tones and I also want to do a portrait of Anna Varney and one of Emilie Autumn and....
