boring still life

Feb 24, 2007 17:01

I cannot even express to you how fucking happy I am that this is done. It was the most boring, uncreative, torturous painting I have ever done. The whole flower arrangement looked like it belonged in an old lady's house.
But it's done. It may have taken, I'm guessing, 20-30 hours.
For my portfolio for the Academy.
I brought in the possible things I am putting in it to school and I kept having to show everyone. I brought it in to have Mrs.Salinger help me decide what to put in it. Everyone really liked the fly man (Lindsay's Trachea. I was kind of surprised. Mrs.Salinger thinks I should do a bigger oil pastel drawing because I'm using them well, but the other one is very smushed, and small (9x12). I can't do a huge one though I have no time. I'm going to start fixing up the things I know I'm putting in it and if I have time next week I'll try doing one. But today I am not touching anything art related at all (until maybe like 8).

It's so weird that it's 5 already I got up at like noon lol because I finally got in the painting zone last night at like 1 am. hahaha

Sorry about not commenting lately, I've been painting too much. I do at least skim all of your entries.
