HI!!!!! So happy it's Yuletide season again! Thank you for writing me a story!
JEEVES & WOOSTER:
From my signup: Bertie/Jeeves, please! I love anything in this fandom, but I sure wouldn't turn down a nice bit of subtle pining (with a happy ending, of course). I do love Wodehouse's quirky prose, but I also really enjoy stories that use plainer language, so don't feel obliged to go with Bertie's narration if it doesn't feel right.
If romance is not your thing in this fandom (!?!?), then I'd really love a nice friendship story about these two. Maybe something that looks at how sweetly they've managed to work around these huge, ingrained class divisions to find something honest and real and build a life around it.
I will add: I'm a sucker for stories where Bertie's blithe, goofy exterior slips for a moment and reveals that he has a kernel of substance and selflessness under all that silliness. When he's needed, Bertie comes through.
EROICA:
From my signup: Klaus/Dorian, please! I really love stories that showcase how dangerous (and sort of crazy) both of these characters are. Dorian looks harmless but there's a bit of poison to him when he needs there to be. ALARMING LUNATICS IN LOVE with roses and name-calling is what I'm here for, I guess.
I will add: BONUS POINTS for Klaus finally managing to do something that really, truly hurts Dorian... and feeling awful about it when he realises. Trying to mend things in his surly, ungraceful way, when things might be beyond mending, finally. ANGST, is what I'm saying.
SINGIN' IN THE RAIN:
From my signup: OT3! I'm a huuuuuge sucker for seeing these three finding themselves in a three-way marriage. Bonus points if this involves Cosmo feeling CONFUSED AND SAD AND LEFT OUT when Don and Kathy tie the knot but not understanding why, but I'm also pretty into all three of them being self-aware grownups about the whole thing.
If 3-way romance is not your bag here, I'd love to see something that focuses on Cosmo and how his friendships with both Don and Kathy evolve when they get married. Looking for thoughtful, character-centric stuff here but also in it for a happy ending. :)
I will add: vintage hollywood details! Celebrity cameos! What are they eating? Reading? Wearing?
AND OF COURSE:
Feel free to throw all this out the window if you've got something eating you up to write! Thank you again, dear YulePal! I can't wait to see what you come up with!
