I don't even know what happened. I got asked a question about Qui Habitat (Hi, Lizbet0!) that I'd punted on in probably 2012 and now answered... to the tune of 2500 words and what is essentially the first part of Chapter 19 of the story.

So when I originally saw this and commented I wait to read this and reread everything else in the universe first. Then forgot bout this piece. Till now.

I agree with Cam at the end about giving up his commission and being a civilian. It just sounds weird.

But my favorite part which has nothing to do with this universe in particular but just your characters was zelenka and safir staring at each other in horror after the announcement. I laughed out loud I could just picture that.

Now on to read the new stuff I just got an alert for😀

I really wanted to say, "please, sir, can I have more?" but I do understand the vagaries of writing. I never considered SGA a dead fandom, largely because there are authors - such as yourself - who keep it alive even if they are no longer writing. Re-reading always adds layers to the story. But a new story?! Oh, my. I will be peeling back the layers starting immediately.

I have the new/old story up at ao3 (https://archiveofourown.org/works/20139094) but that's the only new layer I have right now. I'm editing the main story to make it fit better with the rest of the series, but so far I still haven't quite found an end to the tale. And the new semester has begun.
