More Q-verse \o/. I've recently re-read the lot (and I can now officially pinpoint the two bits that will induce the tears every damn time), but this one is a lighter chapter with some great humour, and my favourite parts: Senior command getting their game on :D
One of them is Yoni being a secret softy, but what's the other?
I'm trying to keep it light, but as people keep pointing out, it's apocafic and I can only cram so much levity into a story with billions of casualties. For now, though, if it's working, yay me. :)
*beams* I will totally admit to be pleased that it's the OCs.
(About the only time I got wibbly writing was in Status Quo Ante and Reletti was talking to his mom about playing along. But I have a lot more vested in these fellows than anyone else and my mileage may vary.)
Are you kidding? You may be more invested in your OC's - and quite rightly so - than most of us readers, but you being invested = more character development which makes them as 'real' as any other character, especially Lorne's Lot. (I have said this before? it bears repeating, anyhow).
There are many other spots that induce the wibbly, but if I know they're coming...some are harder to bear up against, is all. (I also may have a bit of a...thing? for Yoni. Do not ask, for I cannot explain.)
I get it. I may even share it. I have had many flashes of panic over whether I'd created my own personal Mary Sue (which, considering his personality traits, does not speak well as to my judgment of what constitutes a perfect male). At least he's not single because I'm the jealous type (I'm not and he's not; he's single because my real neurosis beyond creating OCs is hooking them up.)
As always, thank you.

Also Yoni related: In Interregnum post the news that Jerusalem was hit, to the end of that part --
Finally, Yoni zips up his kit and stows it in his ruck and they're ready to go. They're almost at the door when Suarez speaks.
"We'd have been sorry whoever it was, Doc," he says.
Everyone freezes.
"I know," Yoni finally says with a sad smile that doesn't reach his eyes. "Thank you."
Definately yay you :)
