totally not my fault

Uhm? I don't even have tags for this.

A thousand 1200 words of a crossover between NCIS, which I've never written (ever), and SGA. Although you'll have to take my word on the crossover part, because I seem to be constitutionally unable to wade in from the shallow end.

An Army O-5 walks into a bar... or NCIS headquarters. A bar would've been better. )

I can't wait to see what Lorne and his boys were up to.

I have a feeling Lorne's marines would be proud that he could be mistaken for one of them :p

What do you mean "not necessarily TBC"? OF COURSE this has to be continued :P

There's no way this turns out short and wow, lots of action (hard) and casefic (really hard) and the amount of research and circumlocution to get around not knowing my ass from my elbow for so much of this... :)

Ah, but think of the challenge! Every author likes a good challenge. Come on, I know you want it, too.

I love NCIS! I haven't read fic in that fandom in a long time and it's always been harder to find really goos stuff there than for SGA. I also love craossovers. So I'm really in favor of seeing this continued. (Doesn't have to be done immediately, but you could fit it in there somewhere in the future, maybe?)

I've never really read much NCIS fic. I'm not averse to slash as a concept, obviously, but... I can't read slash with Gibbs as one of the pairing. Which makes for a very short reading list.

One fic everybody in the fandom seemes to have read and loved was Rictus and it's gen (http://pickleficklefic.wordpress.com/2008/06/13/rictus-by-sequitur/), but otherwise you're right, there's a lot of Gibbs/DiNozzo or Gibbs/Ducky. I can read the first one but not the second one. There was of course also the issue of my crush on Gibbs which meant that I couldn't read any pairings BUT slash involving him (I'm weird that way).

NCIS fiction is kind of weird a lot of the time though. And not in the good way (well depending on taste, but at least there's usually quality writing) SGA-fic is wacky many times.

Just adding, that the characters as I see them on TV don't strike me as terribly slashy either, I can kind of work around it in my mind though. This isn't a try to pitch that to you, just a clarification, that I don't think they're secretly in love on the show.

Also you mentioned that there are some good crossovers. I think I've seen two with Stargate. One with SG-1 and one wacky short thing by Pru. Do you know any others?
